Rethink Mental Illness needed a new brand identity to further their true vision – ‘Challenging attitudes, changing lives’. Rethink Mental Illness actively campaign nationally for policy change, and locally for the support needed by people affected by mental illness. They also provide services which will help shape lives – leading the way to a better quality of life for everyone affected. The brand needed to embody this scope.
The logo is deliberately simple and understated. A circle represents solidarity and fellowship. Used effectively it represents both a sense of collaboration and wider network. The brand guidelines offer clear direction of how to create, relevant and consistent communication through use of the logo, typography, colours, graphic elements, photography and tone of voice. It guides and demonstrates how the core elements are critical to creating compelling communication.
